The Rich Wine Company source excellent wines from around Europe using over 20 years experience in the wine retail industry.

A lot of money is spent in the wine business marketing mass produced wine, which coupled with a lot of wine snobbery means many wines are expensive just for the sake of it. We try to find wines that have been made by passionate growers, where the taste of the wine is more important than the profit. There is often a huge mark-up purely for the name, with the quality of the wine being secondary. We prefer to find lesser known labels, from vineyards that produce their wine with pride and do not inflate their prices with marketing and advertising gimmicks.

At the moment we find the best wines at the right price are to be found in certain regions of Italy.

Our main distribution centre is based in Nottingham. We have outlets based in Manchester, Middlesbrough, Birmingham, Reading and Plymouth. Everyone working within the company enjoys wine, and we have particular fun sourcing our supplies. We are not tied to any organization, and purchase what we class as good quality wines which are also value for money.

If you have a vineyard and think your wine would match our criteria, please send us a bottle to sample. We have many disagreements between ourselves on which wine is best, and realise that not everyone is going to agree with our tastes. Hence if you are not happy with our wines we will refund your money in full - no questions asked.
